This term in year one, we have been learning about the senses. We have taken part in various activities which involved using all five senses. Here are some pictures of us tasting different foods and using our sense of smell to identify what is in the pots.

After all our hard work on the senses, we presented an assembly to the whole school about our five senses.

Here are some photos of us using the computers to create pictures of ourselves.

September 09 - Our theme for this term is 'Ourselves'. In our Science topics we will be looking at the human body; the senses; the importance of food and water and keeping healthy. In Geography we will be looking at the school and its surroundings, and locating the school on a simple map. In History we will be developing awareness of the ways in which the past is different to the present, by looking at how we develop and comparing old and new toys. In RE we will be looking at ways of life as well as rules, customs and beliefs.

Useful Information

• A reading book is sent home every night, and reading cards should be marked with the page they have reached.
• Homework is given on Fridays to be returned on Monday
• PE is on Tuesdays and Thursdays
