Useful information for parents:
- Reading books - bring to school every day, note the page number your child has reached on the reading card and sign the card when they finish the book.
- Spelling tests - every Thursday
- Homework - given on Friday to be returned on Monday
- P.E. - lessons on Thursdays
- Swimming - none this term - there will be swimming after Christmas
- Music - lessons on Mondays, starting to learn recorder after half-term

Autumn Term 2009
Our school theme this term is "Ourselves". In Science we will be focusing on keeping our body healthy. In Geography, the children wil lbe studying Comins Coch and the surrounding area, investigating the geographical features and how it affects our way of life. In History, through out the year we will be studying different aspects of "Stuarts Times in Wales" - how they lived; events during this period and how they travelled, concentrating also on important characters in this era. We begin our investigation by reading about a family who lived in Llancaiach Fawr near Nelson in South Wales. In order to make history as real as possible, we hope to visit this Manor house after half term. I will inform you of the date nearer the time.
Visit to Castell Henllys by the Year 3 / 4 class.
16 January 08 - Some of the Year 4's have just got back from their trip to Kingswood .
Summer Term 07
Our class went to the Rhondda Heritage Park as part of our history lessons this term. It was a worthwhile visit where the children experienced first hand how the miners lived and worked at the beginning of last century.
The entrance cost was £3.15 and the bus cost was £240, therefore the visit was quite expensive. To lessen the cost the class had a cake sale after school on Friday 27th April, and raised more than £170!
