Year 5/6
Mr Peter Leggett - Dosbarth Blwyddyn 6

As it is our last year in Ysgol Comins Coch, we are very busy preparing for secondary school and of course, the Christmas play! As the year 6 pupils we hold the main parts! We will be performing "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" by Roald Dahl. We are performing in Penglais School Hall on Tuesday 15th of December.
Our "Eco Council" won a Bronze and Silver award and is aiming towards the Gold award and the Green Flag. With the money we won, the "Eco Council" bought the school some out door equipment. We collected "Let's Grow" vouchers from Morrison's, and thanks to the parents of Ysgol Comins Coch we managed to collect 15,249 vouchers and 378 yellow pages.

We have successfully completed phase 3 of the Healthy School’s Scheme, after an assessment late during last summer term. The assessors were delighted with the efforts of the pupils’, staff and the wider school community. They praised the pupil’s interaction and input to the whole scheme, including policy making and running the tuck shop. We would like to thank the PTA for all their hard work in developing the school grounds. Our woodchip and wildlife/garden areas look fantastic!

Every year, we enter a Fire work picture competition run by the Round Table. We get to make a fire work picture out of chalk pastels and crayons. We enter it into a competition and the winner gets a TEN POUNDS book token and the school gets 100 POUNDS.
Our class assembly this term was all about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. It was only a few days until the event; therefore we felt it would be important to inform the rest of the school about the story, but more importantly how to stay safe.
This term, we have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Tudors!
