Dear Parents,
I am sorry to have to send yet more paperwork for your attention but there are various aspects to the work of the school that include a lot of form filling and administration which has to be shared with parents (Sorry!).
Firstly I need to confirm that following last weeks Governors meetings there has been a change in the policy for school uniform. The new policy is that all children will now wear school uniform from January 2010. Children currently in school whose parents do not wish their child to wear uniform shoulc now notify the school by deleting the appropriate section of the attached Home School Agreement
- Parental Questionnaire. We are beginning
to prepare the Improvement Plan for 2010-2016 and we would like
your views as to what are the important features of our school
and how it should develop over the coming years.
- The PTA have also prepared a letter and questionnaire
they would like to share with you.
- There is a Home School Agreement which all schools must now have with each parent. Please read the agreement, sign and return to school. Please pay particular attention to the last point of the parent undertaking which agrees that children will wear uniform from January. If you have decided as a family not to adopt the school uniform, please delete that item. Also please keep the spare copy for your own records.
All orders for Christmas play tickets have now closed and we hope that you all received the three tickets you needed. We will now begin to allocate the remaining tickets. Please recognise that we are as disappointed as you, that we have to restrict the allocation, but we are trying to be as fair as possible.
May I also take this opportunity to inform you that I will be taking a secondment to Trinity College, Carmarthen for next term, returning full time to school after Easter. During my absence Mrs Raw-Rees will be Acting Headteacher and Mrs Bethan Davies will be Acting Deputy Headteacher. Throughout the term I will continue to be involved in the school's developments but will not be present during the day.
Mes Bach Childcare will be holding their Christmas Fete this Friday 4th of December from 3:30pm - 5pm at Mes Bach. They will have a Craft stall, Bottle stall, lucky dip, refreshments and not forgetting a visit from Santa. All are welcome and we would appreciate as many parents as possible being able to pop in and support them.
Could we please have as early a response as possible from the Year 5 and 6 children if they want to go to Ireland in May.
As is always the case, if you have any concerns regarding these or any other matters, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Tom Fanning
