Dear Parents,

The Bossy Fairy, her helpers and Mr Humbug are all nearly word perfect! With this very much in mind, and with a concern not to cause panic we wish to let you know the details for the run up to the end of term.

The concerts all take place next week:
Infants. Reception, 1 & 2 Tuesday 9th December 6:30pm, Wednesday 10th December 2:00pm. Could all the children be in school by 6pm. (Mince pies and mulled wine available while you wait).
Juniors. Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 Thursday 11th December 6:30pm
PLEASE REMEMBER Junior performance on Thursday will be in Penglais. Actors will all need to be in Penglais at 5:45pm and Choir by 6pm.
I am sorry to have to inform you that tickets for Tuesday evening performance have now sold out. We do still have tickets for the Wednesday afternoon and a few for the Junior performance in Penglais but please do order them quickly.

Mes Bach the playgroup and After school Club will be holding a Christmas Fayre this Friday 5th December in the schoool at 3:30pm . Refreshments, crafts, cakes and sweets will all be available. I am also reliably informed that Santa will be in attendance.

Retired members of our community. Please could you let Retired members of our community know that they are welcome to attend "Entertainment and Tea" in the school on Friday the 12th of December at 2pm. Waunfawr Retirement Club will be in attendance but if you have a neighbour or Grandparent who would like to come, they are very welcome. All we ask is that you or they contact the school to let us know so that we can provide enough seats and cakes. This is free of charge as they are the guests of the Year 6 children.

Many thanks for the wonderful help in selling raffle tickets, could the families who haven't yet returned the tickets return them tomorrow sold or unsold. Also, very many thanks for the 8,700 Morrrisons vouchers, we will need to send them next week so if there are any still floating around please send them in by Monday.

We are encountering a great deal of illness at the moment with many bugs being generously shared amongst the children. We thank you for your support in keeping us notified of absence but remind all parents of Health Authority guidance that children should be "free of symptoms for 48 hours" before they return to school following sickness or diarrhoea.

May we also remind parents of the procedure during exceptional weather. If the school needs to be closed due to weather or safety conditions announcements will be made on Radio Ceredigion 103.3fm or where possible on the school website. Also please take great care parking near school to ensure the safety of all and good will of our neighbours.

Some children attending school have a severe nut allergy, and we remind all parents that no products containing nuts are allowed in school. Particularly Tocyn, cereal bars or Peanut butter sandwiches.

Please do remember School Uniform for the Cinema visit on Tuesday 16th of December.
School will close on Friday 19th December at 1:30pm
