Dear Parents,

Here we are in the final run-up to the end of the School year, which is just 6 weeks away. This is always the busiest half-term at School with so many activities and children preparing to leave. Indeed, we will have 22 children transferring to Penglais School at the end of term. We trust that their final weeks at Ysgol Comins Coch will be as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

It is busy and we recognise it can also be expensive with the number of visits and activities that get squeezed in . I have listed a diary below, which I hope will help you with your planning and also identify costs involved. If you do have any questions about any of the activities, please do not hesitate to speak to either myself or your child's class Teacher.

Sports Day is next Wednesday and we will start with the obstacle races at 10.30am, we will also have the Playgroup races in the morning. Sports Day 'proper' will begin at 1pm and finish at 3.15pm. (Running Order on the Web Site). If we have bad weather, the alternative will be Thursday 28th June as this is the next available date. Sorry!

The PTA have sent out raffle tickets today and ask for your help in selling them. Could you please return them as soon as possible to your child's class.

As part of the school project to promote Fair Trade we will be holding a Picnic and Football match on Friday 29th June. This will be a simple social activity for the children and all children are asked to bring a "Fair Trade" item to eat at the picnic. The school will provide most produce but we ask that each child bring at least one item for their own consumption. We suggest banana, raisins, dried fruit, cereal bars etc. (Please no nuts!)
