Dear Parents,

A very belated Happy New Year and warm welcome to; Leigh-Anne, Callum, Thomas, Millie, Joshua, Eileen, Joshua, Aled, Amy and Deri. We hope that all of these children will settle quickly and enjoy their time at Ysgol Comins Coch. This is a short term with only 11 weeks due to an early Easter, so there will be plenty of learning to do in a short space of time!

We welcomed back the Year 4 children from Kingswood Computer Centre yesterday and as usual they had a wonderful time. Many thanks to Mrs Davies who went to look after them. I also hope to be in a position to give information regarding the visits for Years 5 and 6 soon. We intend to offer Year 6 the opportunity to visit Ireland which wasn't feasible last year. We also are looking at alternatives for Year 5 as there are difficulties with dates for Pendine camp (likely Cardiff). We will let these classes have detail as soon as they are available.

Wednesday Urdd Club has started and will continue until Wednesday 21st March. This term is also Eisteddfod time and many of the competitions will require children to learn and practice their parts at home, we ask for your assistance in helping the children.

Parents Evenings will be held on th 26th and 27th of February this term and we remind parents that this is the occasion we ask you to book appointments. The list of times will be placed outside classrooms on Monday next 22nd January.
