Dear Parents,

Welcome back to school after the Easter Holiday, let's hope that this is the start of a sunny and enjoyable term with plenty of excitement and learning. We extend a warm welcome to all the new children and their families who join our school this term.

We are also very mindful that this is the final term at Ysgol Comins Coch for twenty children in Year 6. We have every confidence in these children and hope that this will prove a very informative and enjoyable term that gives them final preparation for Penglais.

The diary for this term has been printed on the back and we hope that it will help organise your diaries. Please note that I have been informed today that school will be closed on Thursday June 4th due to the school being used as a polling station for the European Elections.

Next week children from Scoil Ui Riada our Partner School in Ireland will be spending all day Tuesday with us heree in school. Our Year 5 and Year 6 children are invited to stay at the end of the day to enjoy some games and a barbecue with our visitors. Would parents of these children who wish to stay on, please arrange to collect their children at 6pm.

Next Thursday 30th is the day for the Skipping event with children joining the Guinness World Record attempt. If children bring their Sponsor Forms on the day their teacher will stamp them. Also it would help if children who have their own Skipping ropes bring them as we don't have quite enought for everyone.

Due to complications in Plascrug our swimming rota has had to change. Mr Leggett's class will swim for this half term and Mrs Raw-Rees' class will swim after half term.

Six new children have started in Reception class which now means there are 159 children in school Please inform friends and family to apply now for spaces in school over the next two years as we are becoming quite short of places.

Just a reminder regarding payment for school dinners. The cost is £1.75 day/£8.75 a week. If you prefer to pay in full for this half term the total is £42. Next half term allowing for Election and school trip it will be £57.75. Cheques should be made payable to CCC.
