Dear Parents,
Christmas is nearly upon us and Mary, Joseph, Kings and camels are all nearly word perfect. With this very much in mind, and with a concern not to cause panic we wish to let you know the details for the run up to the end of term.
The concerts all take place next week:
Infants. Reception, 1 & 2 Tuesday 11th December 6:30pm, Wednesday 12th December 2:00pm.
Could all the children be in school by 6pm. (Mince pies and mulled wine available while you wait).
Juniors. Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 Thursday 13th December 6:30pm
PLEASE REMEMBER Junior performance on Thursday will be in Penglais. Actors will all need to be in Penglais at 5:45pm and Choir by 6pm. If you have younger children who will not be going to Penglais to watch the performance, they can be left in Out of School Club free of charge for the duration of the performance. If you want to use this facility please book before Friday of this week by sending a note to your child's teacher.
I am sorry to have to inform you that tickets for both evening performances have now sold out.
Mes Bach the playgroup and After School Club will be holding a Christmas Fayre this Friday 7th December at 3:15pm. Refreshments, Crafts, Cakes and Sweets will all be available. I am also reliably informed that Santa will be in attendance.
Retired members of our community. Please could you let Retired members of our community know that they are welcome to attend "Entertainment and Tea" in the school on Friday 14th of December at 2pm. Waunfawr Retirement Club will be in attendance but if you have a neighbour or Grandparent who would like to come, they are very welcome. All we ask is that you or they contact the school to let us know so that we can provide enough seating and cakes. (This is free of charge)
Many thanks for the wonderful help in selling raffle tickets it looks like a record sale! However could the 30 families who haven't yet returned the tickets return them as soon as possible sold or unsold as we have run out of tickets to sell.
The PTA will be holding a "bagpack" in Morrisons on Friday 21st December from 9:00am to 1:00pm. At the moment there are not enough volunteers and it is possible that the event will need to be cancelled. So please if you are available even for a short time on the day, please give your name to the PTA or your child's teacher.
Please do remember School Uniform for the Cinema visit on Wednesday 19th December.
School will close on Friday 21st December at 1:30pm.

LATE NEWS We need to inform you that we have just been informed that there is a change to the dates for term in January. School will now be open on Monday 7th January. The closure date will now be Monday 18th February after half term. We are very sorry about the late notice and can assure you that this is not how we like to arrange such matters. This change is a date that has been handed down to the school and affects all schools in the Aberystwyth district. You have my personal apology for such late notice.
