Autism Champions

We have recently  achieved the Learning with Autism Primary School Award.  To achieve the Award, all governors, school  staff and Key Stage 2 pupils completed a certification scheme . The training increased our knowledge and understanding of autism and we have since been helping to action positive changes within the school to support children who have or may have Autism Spectrum Disorder/Autistic Spectrum Condition. These changes have included a lunch time ‘drop-in’ group, Lego Build to Express and Lego Therapy intervention, visual timetables, personal planners and communication books and raising awareness amongst teaching and support staff and pupils.
